SA Canopy has committed to investing in the social upliftment of communities in previously disadvantaged areas of South Africa. We have decided that our investment will be directed at improving the access to decent education in decent classrooms for children who would ordinarily not have such an opportunity.
To help achieve our objective we have embarked on a 3 pronged approach with the assistance of the Addo based Thembalethu Trust. SA Canopy will provide the funding to Thembalethu in order for Thembalethu to provide the
following:
1.Build a new classroom for the Nolukhanyo pre-school
2. Daily meals to 110 children at the Educare Centre pre-school
3. Fund teacher training for the 3 teachers at the Valencia pre-school
At SA Canopy we feel that our focus should be at providing an opportunity to the youngest generation in the form of healthy minds and healthy body's and that this will one day lead them to greater things.
We are proud of our association with the Thembalethu Trust and without them none of this would be possible.
We are committed to on-going investment in providing nutrition, facilities and training to the children and teachers of our local communities.
